Very cool menagerie of clips. After watching, I jumped to a new tab to see where you were on a map and learn a little more about the region. PS your daughter is adorable. -Chris

Very informative - the cookie jar analogy is cute! Back in my day they told us to pretend we were shooting out of a phone booth, now the kids say "What's a phone booth?" Great job. -Chris

Great video! Isn't it interesting that cookie jar is always shelved high? - Kyle

Very good way to describe a valuable skill in basketball -John

This is cool footage. How would you use it professionally? -Chris

Thanks for note, Chris! I would first use this short footage to impress my students, then to ask them to describe and share what they saw and heard in the footage using the target language they learned. The primary focus here is the exchange of information and multiple outcomes, rather than just having students practicing specific and often boring linguistic form. The goal is to allow students to engage in speaking, listening, and communication, which is the very purpose of learning a foreign language. -Kyle

I love that! What a great approach to language learning. -Chris

Thanks again, Chris! I think it would be an interesting task for students to use the language and retell the story, in their own ways.

Great way to use something to bring kids into the conversation
